What is a stacked discount?

A stacked discount combines more than one saving in a single offer, like 10% off products plus free shipping. Merchants use it for launch promos, VIP codes and influencer codes, where one discount on its own isn't enough of a hook.

Where Shopify's built-in discounts fall short

Each Shopify discount is one type: a product discount, an order discount or free shipping. To give all three, you create three discounts, set them to combine, and customers have to enter several codes, or you make some of them automatic. That's more to explain and more that can go wrong.
