What is customer-specific pricing?

Customer-specific pricing shows different customers different prices for the same product: a VIP rate for loyal shoppers, a trade rate for wholesale buyers, a partner rate for B2B accounts. It rewards your best customers without running a public sale.

Where Shopify's built-in discounts fall short

A Shopify discount has one value, so three customer groups means three separate discounts to keep in sync. Shopify's own customer price lists are part of B2B catalogs for company accounts. And a native discount can't set a fixed price per item.

How customer-specific pricing works in Nex Discount

  1. Name your groups

Use customer tags like vip or wholesale to define each group.

  2. Set their prices

One reward type for every group: % off, $ off each item, or a fixed price per item.

  3. The best price applies

Customers in two groups get the better price. Limit it to the products you choose.
