A multi-buy discount prices a group of items together: any 3 for $30, 2 for $25, 3 for 2. It's a staple for socks, candles, cosmetics and anything customers buy several of, because the deal is easy to read at a glance.

Where Shopify's built-in discounts fall short
Shopify's built-in discounts take a percentage or an amount off. There's no way to say any 3 for $30 with one fixed price for the pack, so merchants approximate it with a minimum quantity and a discount that only works out right for some carts.
