01 What counts as a "capped discount"?
Each discount rule you create with a maximum $ cap counts as one. "30% off, up to $100" is one rule. Bulk codes generated from the same rule share the cap and don't count separately — you can mint a million codes under a single rule.
02 Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades are prorated for the rest of the current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle. Your discount rules and code history stay intact across plan changes.
03 What plan do I need for bulk coupon codes?
Bulk codes are exclusive to the Custom plan ($199/mo). They're built for high-volume operations — influencer programs with per-creator codes, email blasts with unique codes per recipient — where you need up to 1M unique codes per job. Bulk codes don't count against your capped-discount limit.
04 What counts as an "advanced trigger"?
Advanced triggers are AND/OR logic across multiple conditions — customer tags, product tags, cart value thresholds, minimum quantity, order count. Also Custom-only. Basic/Grow/Advanced/Plus all support simple triggers (single condition).
05 How is Plus different from Custom?
Plus ($50/mo) is for Shopify Plus merchants who need capped discounts and prepaid subscription support — up to 40 capped discounts, priority support, self-serve setup. Custom ($199/mo) adds bulk codes, advanced triggers, unlimited discounts, and dedicated onboarding. Pick Plus if you don't run bulk campaigns; pick Custom if you do.
06 What's the difference between a Product and an Order discount?
Product discounts apply to specific line items (scope them by collection, product, or variant). Order discounts apply to the order subtotal. Both support capping, both support triggers.
07 What happens when the trial ends?
You're billed for your selected plan. If no plan is active, discounts stop applying at checkout — but nothing is deleted. Reactivate anytime and your rules resume.
08 What are Prepaid discounts?
Prepaid discounts are exclusive to Shopify Plus + our Plus plan. They reward customers who pay upfront for multiple subscription cycles — e.g. "prepay 6 months, save 15%, up to $50."
